The Out-sect

The Out-Sect is a unique garage band based in Philadelphia. The members of the band met while living in a junkyard in the city. They would gather on weekends to drink beers inside a broken-down 1982 GMC Caballero, with a copy of Back From The Grave stuck in the car’s cassette player.

Their music is known for its raw, trashy sound, which they create using instruments they found in the junkyard. The band has a playful and irreverent style, often described as “Sultans of Slop”. The members include Grey Haas, Laura Nunzi, Lisa Russo, Romain Paumard, and Sonny Blood.
