Sleaford Mods – #LiveInPhilly

Sleaford Mods – #LiveInPhilly  – the last time they were in Philadelphia I was so excited to see them live, and tested positive for Covid the day before the show – so couldn’t attend.  I was bummed, to say the least.  So happy to see them schedule to come back, and to a much bigger venue – I got my tickets well in advance.

The venue was busy on this unseasonably warm April night.  I got there a little late and watched the opener from the back of the crowd, before “hiking” my way toward the stage.  The boys came out and went straight into their latest release – “UK Grim”!  What a start to the show – and it just got better and better!

From Wikipedia : Sleaford Mods are an English post-punk music duo, formed in 2007 in Nottingham. The band features vocalist Jason Williamson and, since 2012, musician Andrew Fearn. They are known for their abrasive, minimalist musical style and embittered explorations of austerity-era Britain, culture, and working-class life, delivered in Williamson’s East Midlands accent.

I recorded a video of them performing one of my favorite songs – “Mork n Mindy”
