The Gorillaz Live in Philly
Gorillaz are a British virtual band created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The band primarily consists of four animated members: 2-D (lead vocals, keyboards), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar), Noodle (guitar, keyboards, occasional vocals), and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion). Their fictional universe is explored through music videos, interviews, and other short cartoons. In reality, Albarn is the only permanent musical contributor, and often collaborates with other musicians.
On this night, at The Well Fargo center, to support their latest album The Now Now they were joined by contributors De La Soul, Jamie Principle, Peven Everett and Bootie Brown. The set consisted of tracks from the new album as well as classics such as Clint Eastwood and Demon Days.
A couple of times Damon even jumped into the audience – check the pics…
Along with these photos there was video for Clint Eastwood & Dirty harry.
