Warpaint – Elephants
I got to see Warpaint when they visited Philly, and they played a slightly alternative version of elephants (Emily referred to it as a “Loungier” versions).
This gig was so high energy – it was amazing. This was while they were touring with Depeche Mode, on the off nights they were going to nearby cities and playing these incredible gigs in small sweaty clubs (and Underground arts fits that bill perfectly – I love that place). The ladies gave us a great show. I did go and see them the following night at Madison Square Garden in their support slot. Great to see them on the big stage… but glad I got the small sweaty experience first!!
