The Muffs – LiveInPhilly

The Muffs were an American punk rock band based in Southern California, formed in 1991. Led by singer and guitarist Kim Shattuck, the band released four full-length studio albums in the 1990s, as well as numerous singles including “Lucky Guy” and “Sad Tomorrow”, and a cover version of “Kids in America”. After a long hiatus beginning in 1999, the band released a fifth album in 2004 but thereafter effectively disbanded. Almost a decade later, the three core members of the band reunited and started performing again. Their sixth album, Whoop Dee Doo, was released in 2014.

This tour was to support Whoop Dee Doo – and it was glorious to see them back on stage -playing rock n roll and goofing around!  They were always full of fun on stage, and this comeback shows nothing had changed in that regard.  The band looked like they were having fun, and us fans… well we were so happy to see them live again.  There was much moshing and singing along.

It was the first time Ronnie made what became his standard joke at this venue – “In California a place called Boot & Saddle would mean something totally different!”  He made almost the exact same comment 2 years later on the same stage.

Also captured video performance of “Your Kiss”.
